CANAAN FAIR SPEEDWAY

Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH was the next stop for the Senior Tour Auto Racers on June 8^th.  Even though storm Andrea was beating down on New England, Star cars made the trip to the north.  Mother Nature must have taken a nap for the evening because the morning was down pours with high winds but by noon the rain stopped and it was off to racing for the evening.  Star was in for 2 heats and 2 features.

Alec Gause from NH in the #75 Pinto ruled the heat race for the Sportsmen.  In the modified division Bobby Turner from Me in the #7 Pinto cruised to victory in the modified heat race. 

The sportsmen were the first to hit the track for their feature race.   Robert Harless from NY captured the win in the Sportsmen division.  Skip Stearns from NH in the 7X coupe finished off with a close second.  Rick MacDowell from Ma in the #76 topped off the pack with a third place.  All three were brought trackside for an out of car interview and awarded with trophies.  In the modified feature it was newcomer this year Gregg Massini from Ma in his #19 Vega to take down the win for the modified divison.  Jamie Ferland from NH in his #194 Pinto pulled a second away from his dad, Danny Ferland.    Danny Ferland also from NH topped of the pack with his #21 Pinto with a third.  All top three were brought trackside for an out of car interview and awarded with trophies.

Star would like to thank Canaan Fair Speedway for a great night of racing and all their hospitality.  Star will be returning to Canaan on August 10^th.
