WESTON CAR SHOW

On September 28th Weston held its 19th year annual car show in memory of Vic Yerardi who was one of the founders of this show and also one of the founders of the Vintage Celebration at Loudon, NH.  Each year this show gets bigger and more renown. This show is a Rotary fundraiser that benefits the Rotary Scholarship fund.  This year there was a flock of race cars from Sprint cars to Indy cars. In addition there were a number of Ferrari’s, Mercedes Benz, Jaguars, Rolls’ as well as Chevrolets, Studebakers, Fords, and everything in between.

On hand to support STAR was President Charlie Lima with his 2X coupe and Board of Advisor Ed Mulligan with his #61 Pinto.  The weather could not have been any better and the crowd was amazing.  It was a very prosperous day for Star, as memberships were passed out, along with selling of Star clothing, dash for cash raffle tickets and even collecting donations for the Star Toy Drive.

Let’s get back to our members and just how busy they were all day.  Ed Mulligan loves to talk to the youth about racing and is a great supporter of the still shows.  He enjoys sitting the younger children in his car, well today he got his wish, I lost count after 100’s and I mean 100’s of children sat in his car that day.  It even got better when the parents started sitting in the cars.  Meanwhile Board of Advisor Kevin McCarthy was very busy sitting 100’s of children in the 2X coupe.   It was nice to see so many pictures being taken and so many fans stopping by to talk to the STAR members about the club.   The media was on hand taken photos of the children lined up to get to sit in the vintage stock cars.

Star would like to thank Ed Mulligan, Charlie Lima and Kevin McCarthy for all their dedication and support for this show.  It was a total success!
