On
November 14th the Senior Tour Auto Racers closed their 2015 racing
season with their annual banquet. This is STAR'S 17th season and it was
great to see a large gathering of members and family come together to
close out the season in a fashionable way. It was great to see members
from all over New England attend to bring the season to a close.
The
banquet was held at Whites of Westport in Westport, Ma. Over 60 awards
were presented to the Star Members for their dedication and true
support of this great club. It has been an outstanding season for the
Star Organization with unbelievable car counts every weekend. Star
tours every weekend to the New England tracks to bring "Vintage Racing at its Best".
As members sat down to a four coarse meal, they were entertained with a
slide show of over 400 candid photos from all the tracks and shows for
the 2015 season, photos never seen by the members. You could hear the
laughter and jokes as the members let down their hair to have a great
time!
STAR
opened up its banquet with the introduction of the Officers and Board
of Directors. It was great to see the present and the pass officers in
attendance.
Then the Board of Directors presented owner of ProNyne Motorsports Museum, Ric Mariscal with a donation towards the museum.
Now it was time for the awards presentations.

been thrilling!
Heat
awards - they worked hard for these and the best man wins!!!! Point
awards, Star is proud to say they had 4 Champions this year and it was
funny that there was one from each state. New
Hampshire Skip Stearns, Massachusetts Charlie Lima, Rhode Island Ed
Mulligan and Connecticut Scott Poirier. So for the second time STAR was
challenged to a Face book Shootout and STAR accepted the challenge. So
STAR did a 10 lap which was a ten day, a lap a day shootout challenge.
The state that got the most likes won the Face book Challenge. I have
to say it was so much fun and great to interact with so many new people
on Face book from the East Coast to the West Coast. Congratulations to
the winner of the Facebook Challenge Charlie Lima – State of
Massachusetts.
