Star is sad to announce that they have lost one of their most dedicated members and friend. David "Scotty" Scott who has lost his battle to cancer on January 13th at home with his family. David was born in 1932 in Dover, NH dedicated his life to the sport of auto racing. He started his career in 1951 at the Dover Speedway in Dover, NH and then raced at the Beechridge Motor Speedway. Scotty has been a member of Star from the very beginning with his little blue coupe #5. A quiet man until it was time for jokes, always had a joke for his Star friends. Scotty was also big in the Star Toy Drive, always bringing toys for the children at all the events. For the past two years Scotty was unable to race but you could see him at the Star events.
